Well-Being Resources

Student Well-Being Resources

We know that sometimes life makes it difficult to concentrate in class which can keep you from being academically successful. These things aren’t your fault! CBC, and our surrounding communities, offer students valuable resources to support you through hard times and support your well-being. We encourage you to take advantage of these resources—it’s what they’re here for!

You are urged to carefully research Community Resources to ensure that the services they provide align with your particular needs. CBC does not endorse or exercise control over any non-CBC resources listed on this page, and assumes no legal liability for the acts or omissions of any such persons or organizations.

Financial

CBC Foundation Student Emergency Fund
Columbia Basin College Foundation’s Emergency Need Fund is funded in partnership with STCU in order to assist students who are experiencing an unforeseen financial crisis that is creating a barrier to their student success. The fund provides small grants to students who are experiencing a one-time financial hardship that is unlikely to occur again.

CBC Student Behavioral Intervention Team (SBIT)
One of the ways we strive to provide a proactive and preventative approach to make sure you stay safe and happy is through our Student Behavior Intervention Team (SBIT). The SBIT balances the individual needs of the student with those of the greater College community to provide a safe campus environment and foster an institutional culture for sharing information and developing plans of support for students of concern through collaboration, risk assessment and intervention. You are encouraged to report concerns of unusual and/or threatening behavior to the SBIT by submitting the SBIT referral form, even if you aren't experiencing a direct threat or an immediate danger.
