What are Basic Needs?

They are the fundamental resources which support a student's well-being such as:

  • Housing
  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Physical and Mental Health
  • Childcare
  • Or similar demands that influence success
Student accessing resources online

CBC is committed to helping students complete their educational goals. Supporting basic needs improves student retention, academic performance, mental health, and builds long-term resilience. We encourage you to take advantage of these resources—it’s what they’re here for!

For help finding CBC resources, see the Pasco and Richland campus maps.

You are urged to carefully research Community Resources to ensure that the services they provide align with your particular needs. CBC does not endorse or exercise control over any non-CBC resources listed on this page and assumes no legal liability for the acts or omissions of any such persons or organizations.
