Public Record Requests

In the state of Washington, laws exist to ensure that government is open and that the public has a right to access appropriate records and information possessed by state government. At the same time, there are exceptions to the public's right to access public records that serve various needs including the privacy of individuals. Exceptions are provided by both state and federal laws.

Public Access to Records

The College's public records officer as designated by the College's President is the Vice President for Human Resources & Legal Affairs, Camilla Glatt. Ms. Glatt may be reached at 2600 N. 20th Avenue, Pasco, WA 99301, 509-542-5548, extension 2348 or cglattFREECOLUMBIA_BASIN.

Pursuant to Chapter 132S-10 WAC and the College's policy and procedure on Public Records Disclosure, requests to examine public records must be in writing through the College's Vice President for Human Resources & Legal Affairs. Direct requests to departments will not be honored. Records are normally available for inspection Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 7 am to noon, except legal holidays and campus closures (as announced).
