We are here to help if you need it!
The CBC Food Pantry opened it's doors in November 2019 to help support our students and campus community who are facing the challenge of food insecurity. Through partnerships with multiple community organizations, including Second Harvest, Pepsi, CG Public House & Catering and the CBC Foundation, we're able to provide a wide variety of nutritional food items for our students who are in need. Our amazing partnership with Second Harvest allows us to stock our pantry with fresh produce, dairy products, bread, as well as dry and canned goods.
The CBC Food Pantry can be found in the lower HUB area of the H Building on the Pasco campus. The pantry is located on the west wall, just look for the big "Food Pantry" decal on the door.
The Food Pantry is open to any currently enrolled CBC student, as well as current CBC staff and faculty. You are welcome to visit the pantry one time per week.
Please bring your CBC ID card with you when you come to the pantry. Since many students have not been able to receive an ID card due to the campus closure, we will not turn anyone away if they do not have their card. As long as you know your CBC ID number, you can still access the pantry.
Did you know that you are able to request a CBC ID card online and it will be mailed to you? Please visit Hawk Central's page for instructions on how to do this.
Winter Quarter - Food Pantry Schedule (effective beginning 1/3/22)
Monday - Thursday:
11 am to 4:30 pm
Friday: 9 am to noon
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
*The Pantry may be open earlier on some days based off staffing availability. However, if you're unable to make it during the hours listed above, please email cbcfoodpantryFREECOLUMBIA_BASIN at least 24 hours prior to when you’ll be on campus and we’ll do our best to make arrangements for access to the Pantry. If you email less than 24 hours in advance, we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to accommodate your request.
That's so great to hear! Thank you so much for supporting our students! We currently accept both food and monetary donations.
If you're interested in donating any food items, you are welcome to drop those items off during anytime the pantry is open. You can also email%20us, and our team would be happy to work with you to figure out the best logistics to get the donations to the pantry.
We also accept monetary donations, which go directly to supporting the operations of the pantry. This includes helping us keep the shelves stocked with high demand, staple foods and purchasing new equipment that will help expand what we're able to provide for our students. Donations are accepted online through the CBC Foundation.
