We are here to help if you need it!
The CBC Food Pantry opened its doors in November 2019 to help support our students and campus community who are facing the challenge of food insecurity. Through partnerships with multiple community organizations, including Second Harvest, Pepsi, CG Public House & Catering and the CBC Foundation, we're able to provide a wide variety of nutritional food items for our students who are in need. Our amazing partnership with Second Harvest allows us to stock our pantry with fresh produce, dairy products, bread, as well as dry and canned goods.
The CBC Food Pantry is located in the Student Recreation Center (SRC). The Food Pantry is on the northwest corner of the building (the side facing campus), and is accessed from the exterior of the building. Just look for the glass, roll up garage-style door and you're in the right spot!
The Food Pantry is open to any currently enrolled CBC student, as well as current CBC staff and faculty. Students MUST be enrolled in the current quarter to have access.
During academic break periods between quarters, students must be registered for the upcoming quarter to have access during the break (for example, during the winter break between fall and winter quarters, students must be registered for winter quarter classes to have access during the break)
Students are allowed to visit the pantry one time per week.
Restriction/limits on specific food items will be in place, and limits are set per student (not household size). Violation of these restrictions can result in loss of access to the Food Pantry. Please be aware the these restrictions/limits are constantly changing based of what items are available and how much we have in stock, so please be sure to review them every time you visit, as they may have changed since your last visit.
Abuse of the pantry restrictions, rude/threatening behavior towards Food Pantry staff, or violation of the usage policies will not be tolerated and can result in loss of Food Pantry access.
Please bring your CBC ID card with you when you come to the pantry. If haven't obtained your CBC ID card, we highly encourage you do to so. However, as long as you know your CBC ID number, you can still access the pantry.
Questions about how to obtain your CBC ID card? Please visit Hawk Central's webpage for more information.

*Food Pantry hours are subject to change based off staffing availability. However, if you're unable to make it during the hours listed above, please email cbcfoodpantryFREECOLUMBIA_BASIN at least 24 hours prior to when you’ll be on campus and we’ll do our best to make arrangements for access to the Pantry. If you email less than 24 hours in advance, we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to accommodate your request.
That's so great to hear! Thank you so much for supporting our students! We currently accept both food and monetary donations.
If you're interested in donating any food items, you are welcome to drop those items off during anytime the pantry is open. You can also email%20us, and our team would be happy to work with you to figure out the best logistics to get the donations to the pantry.
We also accept monetary donations, which go directly to supporting the operations of the pantry. This includes helping us keep the shelves stocked with high demand, staple foods and purchasing new equipment that will help expand what we're able to provide for our students. Donations are accepted online through the CBC Foundation.
