Apprenticeship is a combination of technical classes and on-the-job training. Once you complete the workplace and classroom assignments, you will receive a completion certificate and be recognized as a Journeyman in your chosen industry nationwide.
The Automotive Technology program prepares you for the industry, by teaching you how to work safely and efficiently around gasoline and hybrid vehicles. You will learn how to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles using industry standard tools and equipment.
The Health Physics program prepares you to work as a highly skilled professional in
the nuclear industry to protect people and the environment from the potential hazards
of radiation. You will learn to apply scientific understanding of the physical interaction
of radiation with the human body and the environment and how to maintain the necessary
protections to equip you for this in-demand career. The BAS degree in Health Physics
curriculum is aligned with Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc.
(ABET) standards.

The Manufacturing Technology program prepares you for the career as a machinist, who transforms raw materials such as metal, composites and plastics into useful working parts and assemblies using high-tech precision machines in our state-of-the-art facility. Learn how to use a 3D solid modeling software to design the parts necessary for the products we use in our everyday lives, then manufacture those parts on equipment such as mills, lathes, and grinders. These skills qualify you for a career in industries from aerospace to agriculture to amusement parks.
The Nuclear Technology prepares you for one of three distinct careers in the nuclear industry: Radiation Protection Technician, Instrumentation and Control Technician or Non-Licensed Operator. You'll learn the in-depth math, science and technology behind power-plant operating systems, as well as the management and disposal of nuclear waste. One of less than 50 community colleges in the country that offer these degrees, the program is part of the Nuclear Uniform Curriculum Program and nationally accredited by the Institute for Nuclear Power Operations (INPO).
This program prepares you to apply basic health and safety principles including physics,
engineering principles and technical skills in support of the workforce. You'll learn
about industrial and construction safety principles as well as nuclear and other industries.
