Our Wellness Fair serves as a vital resource hub, fostering a supportive environment where individuals can explore a multitude of resources aimed at nurturing their physical, mental, and emotional health. Following the resounding success of last year's event, we are thrilled to expand and enhance our offerings this year. From informative expos to interactive demonstrations, and access to various wellness services, this year's fair promises to be even more enriching and empowering.

Welcome to our second annual Wellness Fair, dedicated to promoting holistic well-being for our students and employees.

CHECK-IN PROCESS:

  • External vendors: Enter through the south side of SRC, park on the west side.
  • Students: Stop outside the north side entrance for a swag bag & passport card for a free lunch.
  • Employees: Stop at the employee information table in the corridor for a tote bag and additional instructions on how to receive your employee gift and lunch.

Lunch Choices:

  • Turkey Box Lunch: Full Turkey Cheddar Sandwich, Chips, and Cookie 
  • Roast Beef Box Lunch: Full Roast Beef & Provolone Sandwich, Chips, and Cookie 
  • Chicken Pecan Box Lunch: Chicken Salad Sandwich, Chips, and Cookie
  • Apple Feta Salad Lunch: Apple, Feta, Mixed greens, Balsamic Vinaigrette, GH roll, butter, and Cookie
  • Sesame Chicken Salad Lunch: Chicken, Sesame, Peanuts, Carrots, Miso Vinaigrette, GH roll/butter, and Cookie

In an effort to support the CBC Food Pantry, we are accepting donations for personal hygiene items and non-perishable food items. Please consider bringing a donation to the Wellness Fair if you are able. For specific questions regarding acceptable donations, please email cbcfoodpantryFREECOLUMBIA_BASIN.

Discover the joy of movement and fun at our wellness fair! Join us to explore exciting activities like knockerball, inflatable axe throwing, and therapy dogs. Don't miss out—reserve your spot in each description below for Pickle Ball, Cardio Dance Class, and Hula Introduction.

  • Knockerball 10 am to 2 pm

    A protective single chamber ball of air with handles inside and shoulder straps to enable you to have fun control.  Slam in to another Knockerball opponent and never get hurt.  OK, there is some pain involved, the pain in your sides from so much laughter. Don't forget to practice some rolling and flipping.  Provided by Knockerball Tricities. 

  • Inflatable Axe Throwing 10 am to 2 pm

    The safe and fun way to throw axes. You will be entertained for hours with the Inflatable Axe Throwing Game.  Provided by Knockerball Tricities.

  • Massage Therapy 10 am to 2 pm

    Chair massages will be available during the event, visit the Float Euphoria table to sign up.

  • Live Music 10 am to 2pm

    Immerse yourself in the uplifting rhythms and beats of our live DJ Brandon performance at the wellness fair. Feel the energy surge through you as the music fills the air, creating a lively and invigorating ambiance. From soulful melodies to infectious tunes, our DJ will curate a captivating soundtrack that resonates with the spirit of health and vitality. Whether you're grooving to the music, connecting with others, or simply soaking in the positive vibes, our live music experience promises to elevate your senses and enhance your overall well-being."

  • Therapy Dogs 10 am to 2 pm

    Our furry friends are back and ready for a full day of support to our faculty, staff, and students.  Be sure to stop by and give them a pat or two! 

  • Pickle Ball 10:45 am to 11:30 am

    Presented by Rod Taylor, who currently teaches the Pickleball PE course at CBC and has experience teaching it at his previous institution.  This session will involve going over the basic rules and techniques of pickleball, walk participants through simple drills and then give the opportunity to play some live games. Wear comfortable clothing and non-marking athletic shoes for exercise. Sign up for the Pickle Ball session here!

  • Cardio Dance Class 11:45 am to 12:30 pm

    This fun workout session features Latin and international rhythms that inspire movement and dance. Using a combination of verbal and non-verbal cues participants "feel the music" rather than relying on instructions for each move. All ability and fitness levels are welcome. Follow along or make up your own moves during this fun demonstration led by Dr Luz Garza and CBC staff. Sign up for the Cardio Dance Class session here!

  • Hula Introduction 12:45 am to 1:30 pm

    Hālau Kamakahiwaokalani  was formed in 1972 by Kumu Hula Kamakahiwaokalani (Onie) Huihui Rendall.  The purpose of the Hālau is to perpetuate the Hawaiian Culture through the teaching of the hula, both Kahiko and `Auana.    We have performed all over the state of Washington, Oregon and Idaho and participated in many cultural events throughout the years.  The most notable being the Folklife festival in Seattle, Wa., the care of the wa`a (canoes) of the Tri City Outrigger Canoe Club by making sure the Hawaiian Protocol is upheld is also our responsibility.  The  Hālau is a way of life and a way to stay in touch with the culture and food of Hawai`i.
