WA Grant for Apprenticeship

WA Grant isn't only for traditional college students. WA Grant for Apprenticeship (WG-A) includes funding for qualified apprentices in a variety of programs in Washington. Eligible apprentices can receive money to cover costs associated with their apprenticeship program.
A Family of Four Making Up to $131,000 Can Qualify for WA Grant.
To qualify for WG-A you need to:
- Work in a participating WCG-A program (verify with your apprenticeship program if they are registered with WSAC)
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be a resident of Washington State.
- Be working in a participating WG-A program.
- Meet requirements related to family income and need.
- Not have a bachelor's degree or higher.
The WA Grant Supports a Broader Range of Educational Programs
WA Grant can pay for many kinds of learning, including:
- Approved apprenticeships programs.
- Workforce and training programs.
And Extends Financial Assistance to More People
An apprentice from a family of four making up to $131,000 can qualify. Funding provides:
- Money for tuition, fees, books, and necessary equipment.
- Additional money on top of regular pay that doesn't need to be paid back.
WG-A can lead to higher-paying careers and greater job security for:
- Eligible apprentices of all ages.
- Part-time and full-time participants.
