ctcLink FAQ

CBC is moving to a new and improved mobile-friendly system called ctcLink! We’re working hard behind the scenes to improve your student experience, but that means spring quarter is going to look a little different and some MyCBC features will be unavailable.

Please be patient with us during this transition. We may take a little longer to respond, but we are always here to help you!

Now that we're live in ctcLink, you'll need to get your new student ID number (SID) so you can log in.

Activating your account just takes three easy steps!

  1. Visit: ctclink Activation page
    - Select "Activate Your Account"

  2. Enter your information
    - First Name
    - Last Name
    - Date of Birth
    - Select ID Type:

SID (old): if you are a current or returning student with an (old) CBC SID number

ctcLink ID (new): if you are a new student and received your ID in your acceptance letter via email

    Set your password
    - Enter your preferred email
    - Select your security question and answer
    - Enter your account recovery information

  3. Record your ctcLink ID and password

    Stop before you click OK!
After submitting your security question and password, you’ll be shown your ctcLink student ID. Don’t forget to write it down before you click OK! You’ll need your new SID and password to login to our new-and-improved system.

Don’t worry, if you missed your SID during activation you can reach out to our Student Help Desk via email or 509-543-1445 for assistance. They’ll help retrieve it!

We're happy to help you navigate this transition by assisting you with activating your ctcLink account.

For in-person assistance, stop by Hawk Central in the H building. Our friendly customer service specialists are ready to help!

Not completely! While many features will be temporarily unavailable during spring quarter as we transition to the new online system, you'll always have access to MyCBC to view your schedule.

April 8 is the last day for late enrollment. Unfortunately, we will not be able to add any classes after the first week of the quarter due to system limitations.

After April 10, you will not be able to make any registration changes in MyCBC.

Starting April 11, you can put in a request to drop/withdraw from a class on our Spring 2022 Drop/Withdrawal Form. Withdrawal requests via this form will be honored based on the date you submitted the form. We expect these requests to be processed and show in your online schedule mid-May.

Even though things will look different, you can withdraw from a class any time before the 40th day of the quarter (May 27).

Due to system limitations, we're unable to issue refunds at this time.

If you're eligible for a tuition refund, it will be processed after we complete your drop/withdrawal mid-May.

April 13 is the last day to pay tuition and fees online or in person at Hawk Central. If you still owe a balance after this date, you'll be able to pay once the new system becomes available.

You can currently order official transcript online through Parchment Exchange. You do not need your student ID or PIN to order through Parchment Exchange. Orders sent electronically to another institution may take two to three business days to process. Orders sent via U.S. Postal Mail may take two to three business days to process and additional time for delivery.

Visit Parchment Exchange to order your official transcript today!

At this time we are unable to receive transcript orders via email, mail or in-person at Hawk Central. Full services will return mid-May.

Please visit our Getting Started page for more information.

Once you have completed Getting Started, we encourage you to visit the Counseling/Advising page to schedule an advising appointment with one of our Completion Coaches.
