The following list shows states and territories that CBC’s Paramedic and EMT programs either meets or does not meet their educational requirements for licensure. States or territories that we have not made a determination on are not listed.

Paramedicine AAS

Connecticut
Columbia Basin College has determined that this program does not meet the educational requirements for licensure by examination in Connecticut. Students could obtain licensure in Washington and obtain Connecticut licensure by endorsement. For more information contact the Connecticut Department of Health and/or the CBC program contact. 

Hawaii
Columbia Basin College has determined that this program meets the educational requirements for licensure in Hawaii. Students who are interested in working in Hawaii should contact the Hawaii State Emergency Medical Services and/or the CBC program contact. 

Idaho
Columbia Basin College has determined the Paramedicine AAS by itself does not lead to licensure in Idaho. Students who complete the Paramedicine AAS are eligible to test for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification. This certification can be used to waive the EMS course requirement in Idaho. Students who are interested in working in Idaho should contact the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness and/or the CBC program contact. 

Oregon
Columbia Basin College has determined that this program meets the educational requirements in Oregon. Students who complete the Paramedicine AAS are eligible to test for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification which is required in Oregon.  Note: If you are already licensed outside of Oregon then you must follow the reciprocity guidelines. Students who are interested in working in Oregon should contact the Oregon Health Authority's Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems Program and/or the CBC program contact. 

Paramedicine One-Year Certificate

Idaho
Columbia Basin College has determined that this program meets the educational requirements for licensure in Idaho. Students who are interested in working in Idaho should contact the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness and/or the CBC program contact. 

Oregon
Columbia Basin College has determined this program meets the educational requirements for licensure in Oregon.
