Are you a high school student in the Kennewick School District with an interest in science, nature, or technology? Join us this summer for the Cultivating Futures Camp, a dynamic and hands-on camp designed to introduce students to the exciting and diverse world of agriculture!
This one-of-a-kind summer experience will give you a behind-the-scenes look at modern agriculture—from cutting-edge farming technology and sustainable food systems to careers in animal science, agribusiness, environmental conservation, and more.
Through field trips, interactive workshops, and expert guest speakers, you’ll gain real-world insight into one of the nation’s most vital industries.

Forensic Camp for High School Students
Get Hands-On With a Crime Scene Investigation!
Step into the shoes of a forensic investigator and work an active crime scene simulation. Learn real techniques used by professionals in the field of criminal justice.
- Developing & Lifting Fingerprints
- Photographing a Crime Scene
- Blood Spatter Analysis
- Measuring & Diagramming Crime Scenes
No experience needed - just curiosity and a passion for solving mysteries!

CBC is excited to announce a free summer camp hosted on the Pasco Campus from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11. The program is geared toward career exploration and college preparation for high school juniors, seniors, and first year CBC students! Please share the following announcement with students at your school.
Kickstart your college journey with Explore & Soar: Discover the Future You!—an interactive, free summer camp for students who will be high school juniors, seniors, or attending CBC in the Fall of 2025! Discover campus, connect with resources, and build confidence for college success.
What to Expect
- Interactive Sessions (hosted by CBC faculty!) - AI & Computer Science, Project Management, Surgical Technology, Sterile Processing Technology, Nuclear Technology, Occupational Safety & Health, and Physics.
- Skill-Building Workshops – Resume Writing Clinic & Scholarship Workshop.
- Campus Exploration – Tour key buildings, services, and student spaces.
- Community Connections – Make friends and meet faculty in a welcoming space.
- College Readiness – Get tips on academic expectations and how to prepare.

CBC Summer Boot Camp Python Programming
Ready to explore the world of programming? Join us for a FREE two-day Python Programming Boot Camp on Wednesday, July 9 to Thursday, July 10, an exciting opportunity for students of all experience levels to learn one of the world’s most popular and powerful programming languages!
This hands-on, interactive camp runs from 8 am to 4 pm each day and is designed to introduce you to the core concepts of Python programming. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this boot camp will help you build a strong foundation and spark your passion for computer science.

Educational Service District offers exciting, no-cost summer academies designed to inspire and engage students through hands-on experiences in science, technology, health, and more.
Camps are hosted at Columbia Basin College and open to upcoming middle and high school students. Transportation, snacks, and lunch are provided!

About: Meet with the CBC Outreach team to get assistance with the CBC application, Financial
Aid, Getting Started Steps, Placement Tests, and SOAR – once this process is complete,
you will be eligible to meet with a Completion Coach and register for class!
If you want to complete your financial aid application, please bring the following information, if possible:
- Social Security number or permanent resident number (if you have one)
- 2023 federal income tax return
- W-2 earning statements
- Information for parent or guardian (they are encouraged to attend with you)
The workshops are held in the SWL Computer Lab, Room 110 with the option to attend via Zoom.
