Ever wondered where your last name comes from?
Looking to feel more connected to your family?
Searching for a greater sense of personal identity?
Gather with us to learn about genealogy!

Genealogy is an ever-expanding field, accelerated in unprecedented ways throughout recent years thanks to technology. In this exciting presentation on the practical and inherent value of genealogy work, guest speaker Cheryl Klym will explore her experiences with connecting to her ancestors through travel and genealogy work. Participants will then be guided through setting up their own family tree on familysearch.org and starting their own process of genealogy research.

Attendees are encouraged to bring names and birth dates of grandparents, great grandparents, and other family members to help them start populating the tree with names and dates.

Event location: B110. Please RSVP, as there is a limit of 60 seats.

This event will take place in a computer lab. However, in the event that all the computer stations are full, participants are encouraged to bring a personal device (mobile device, tablet, or laptop) on which they can participate.

This event is hosted by the Latter-Day Saint Student Association at CBC and is open to individuals of all faiths and belief systems.
