Raleigh Hawthorne explores the often untold story of suffragettes of color and their struggle to be a part of a movement they weren't always welcome in. She explores her own journey to discover stories untold in history books, how the struggles of Black and Native suffragettes of the past helped shape the future of voting and how in many ways their battles are still being fought in America today.
