The following list shows states and territories that CBC’s Dental Assisting program either meets or does not meet their educational requirements for licensure. States or territories that we have not made a determination on are not listed.

Alaska
Columbia Basin College has determined that this program meets the educational requirements
for licensure. Students who are interested in working in Alaska should contact the
Alaska Board of Dental Examiners and/or the CBC program contact.
Arizona
Columbia Basin College has determined this program does not meet the educational requirements
for licensure in Arizona unless the applicant gets approval from the board. Students
who are interested in working in Arizona should contact the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners and/or the CBC program contact.
California
Columbia Basin College has determined this program does not meet the educational requirements
for licensure in Arizona unless the applicant gets approval from the board. Students

Colorado
Columbia Basin College has determined this program meets the educational requirements

Florida
Columbia Basin College has determined that no formal initial licensure is required
in Florida. Radiology is an endorsement and the DANB Radiology Safety Exam must be

Columbia Basin College has determined that this program meets the educational requirements

New Mexico
Columbia Basin College has determined no formal initial licensure required in New
Mexico. Coronal polishing, sealants, and fluoride are endorsements and the DANB exam
associated with them must be passed. Students who are interested in working in New
Mexico should contact the New Mexico Board of Dental Health Care and/or the CBC program contact.
Oregon
Columbia Basin College has determined that our educational requirements meet the requirements
for dental hygiene licensure in Oregon. The Dental Assisting National Board exam must

Utah
Columbia Basin College has determined that no formal initial licensure required in
Utah. Radiology is an endorsement and the DANB Radiology Safety Exam must be passed.
