Soar To Success Program at Columbia Basin College

The Soar to Success Open Doors Program is a youth re-engagement program for students between the ages of 16 and 21. Columbia Basin College collaborates with local school districts to identify the best pathway for referred students to complete their General Education Development (GED®) certificate and transition to their next goal, whether that is employment or further education. 

Our Open Doors partnership can help you earn your GED® certificate and move on to your next goal.

How the Classes Work 

Every new student works with a Retention Specialist to build a personalized education plan. Set a clear timeline, go over courses and the best practices to complete GED Certificate. 

 

Eligibility

  • Ages 16 to 21, within the current academic year.
  • Have a referral sent from the following schol distric partners: Pasco, Kennewick, Richland, Columbia-
    Burbank, Finley. 

What You Will Gain

  • A collaborative learning community. 
  • Free GED testing.
  • Weekly one-on-one support with Retention Specialist. 
  • Career and educational planning are integrated into the program.
