*Anatomy & Physiology (BIOL& 241) requires that you take General Biology (BIOL& 160) or Majors Cellular (BIOL& 211) as a prerequisite.
Please note: A grade of 2.0 or higher is required in each of the above courses to be eligible to apply for the Radiologic Technology program.
The 2018 Radiologic Technology Program application is now available. The due date to turn this in, along with the $29 application fee, is March 1, 2018. You can bring it to Hawk Central on the Pasco campus, or mail it via the U.S. Postal Service. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. Please include all the required documentation with the application. Before applying to the Radiologic Technology Program, you must be a student of CBC. Winter quarter classes will count towards that year's application period but not spring quarter classes.
Acceptance to the program is highly competitive. Applicants are screened according to grades and score on the TEAS exam. Screening occurs using a tool called the Application Index Score Calculator. After the initial index score is computed, applicants are ranked and invited to participate in the interview process. The interview process evaluates applicants' written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of the field. A selection committee chooses the students for the program based on their final Admissions Index Score which includes points awarded for the interview process. Classes begin summer quarter after acceptance.
Steps in the application process:
Students who provide documentation of a minimum of 40 hours of patient care experience at a licensed healthcare facility and/or have completed a healthcare degree or certificate program will receive one additional point. This point is added to the student's initial Admissions Index Score. Examples of healthcare experience include:
