When Will The College Credit Be Transcribed?
College credit will be awarded by CBC during the summer quarter concluding the prior academic year with all transcription to be complete by September 1. Students earning CTE Dual college credit will be sent a congratulatory letter and provided a CBC student ID (SID) number unique to that student and their transcript. A complimentary copy of the student's unofficial transcript will be enclosed with the congratulatory letter mailed to the student following transcription.
CTE Dual Credit students will not have free access to the My CBC Kiosk system to request an unofficial transcript online until they become an enrolled student at the College. If a student wishes to obtain an official copy of their transcript or have their official transcript sent to another college of their choosing, they may do so online using Parchment Exchange.

How Do CTE Dual Credits Transfer?
College credits earned through the CTE Dual Credit program will transfer within the Washington state community college system. Transferability of credit to four-year colleges depends on the receiving institution and students are encouraged to contact an advisor at the receiving college regarding the way in which the receiving institution may choose to accept CTE Dual credits. Credits accepted at four-year colleges and out of state universities are not guaranteed to directly transfer though students are often able to apply the credits toward electives or satisfy a prerequisite.
Can My CTE Dual Credit Course Be Removed From My Transcript?
High school students registered in the Student Enrollment Reporting System (SERS) for CTE Dual Credit will follow CBC student policies for transcription of credit. Credit and/or grades will not be removed once they have been transcribed.
Is the High School Grading System Equivalent to the College's?
The grading in the high school system does not always align with the grading scale at Columbia Basin College. Please be sure to review the table listed in the Frequently Asked Questions webpage for reference to see how a grade percentage at the high school will be awarded as a grade point average at the College.
