ETS ParaPro
Congratulations—you want to become a certified teacher’s assistant! CBC can help you
in this pursuit through the Assessment Center’s offering of the ParaPro Assessment—an
online, general aptitude test required for paraprofessional certification that offers
employers an objective assessment of your foundational knowledge and skills. This
exam is designed to measure reading, writing and math knowledge and application of
that knowledge in a classroom environment. It consists of 90 multiple choice questions
and satisfies the requirements of the federal legislation within the Every Student
Succeeds Act (ESSA).
The ParaPro exam is now available online using Prometric’s ProProctor™. Appointments
are available 8 am to 5 pm Eastern Time, Monday to Friday, and payment in the amount
of $91 is required at the time of scheduling.

About taking the ETS ParaPro Exam online
There is a fee of $91 due at the time of scheduling the online ETS ParaPro exam.
Two and a half hours is allotted for the test, which consists of 90 multiple choice questions.

No. In-person ETS ParaPro exams are not available at this time.
Unofficial scores are available onscreen and to print at the end of your test. The Washington State qualifying score is 461.
Official score reports, including additional materials to help you understand your results, are automatically sent to you and Washington State’s teaching credentialing office.
Additional score reports are available for 10 years for a non-refundable fee of $50.
Yes. The ParaPro Assessment can be taken once every 28 days.
Your scores are digitally retained with ETS for 10 years.
Yes. Accommodations must be submitted directly to ETS ParaPro as early as possible, as they may take several weeks to review and complete. Visit the ETS ParaPro website for more information.
