As the Director of Student Activities, I see student involvement as integral to a successful college experience. When I attended the University of Montevallo in Alabama as an undergrad, the things I did outside of the classroom were just as important – and maybe in some ways more important – than my achievements inside the classroom. My extracurricular activities assisted me in developing my own unique identity. As an introvert, they also allowed me to develop social and leadership skills in a safe and welcoming environment. I encourage all students to get involved – You may see that it changes your life.
In addition to working at CBC, I am also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, a 85-hour certified prenatal yoga instructor, an apprentice beekeeper, and a certified SoulCollage facilitator.
