Esta es una clase de un día en la que instructores certificados por Evergreen Safety Council están autorizados para brindar conocimientos básicos necesarios para operar de manera segura un vehiculo industrial motorizado (PIT-por sus siglas en ingles) de Clase 1, 2, 3, 4 o 5. Esta capacitación se basa en las regulaciones federales establecidas por la Administración de Salud y Seguridad Ocupacional (OSHA-por sus siglas en ingles) en el Código de Regulaciones Federales.

Esta clase proporciona toda la capacitación necesaria en el aula y práctica requerida por OSHA, proporcionando una tarjeta de capacitiación seguridad de operador que es válida por 3 años. Tenga en cuenta que su empleador necesitará proveer capacitación adicional en el trabajo para operar un montacargas específico allí, reconocer los peligros específicos del sitio y realizar correctamente las tareas específicas del trabajo (el código de montacargas requiere que todos los operadores de montacargas sean evaluados por su empleador, operando montacargas en el entorno real del trabajo).

Los participantes deben tener 18 años o más para inscribirse en esta clase.

 IMPORTANTE: Se requiere que los participantes tengan experiencia en la conducción de un vehículo motorizado.

• Características y funciones comunes del PIT;
• Capacidad y estabilidad; inspección y mantenimiento; operación en el lugar de trabajo; y riesgos comunes.

This is a one-day class in which Evergreen Safety Council-certified instructors are authorized to provide operators with the basic knowledge needed to operate safely on Class 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 Powered Industrial Truck (PIT). This training is based on the federal regulations set out by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the Code of Federal Regulations. 

This class provides all the necessary classroom and practical (hands-on) training required by OSHA, giving an operator safety card which is valid for 3 years. Note that additional on-the-job training will be needed from your employer to operate a specific forklift(s) there, recognize site-specific hazards, and correctly accomplish work-specific tasks (the forklift code requires that all forklift operators be evaluated by their employer by operating forklifts in the actual work environment). Participants must be 18 years of age or older to enroll in this class.

IMPORTANT: Participants are required to have experience driving a motorized vehicle.
