Join us for the 2020 Hawk Trot from Home 5K Run/Walk! You can participate by following these steps!

Step 1: CBC students and employees can register at https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx... so we can send you event information and you have a chance to win prizes!

Step 2: Run or walk at least a 5k (3.1 miles) between Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 29. This could be in single 5k run/walk, or a combination of shorter run/walks. For instance, you can run 1-mile, three different times.

Step 3: Document and submit your run/walk. This can be done in two different ways (instructions are below). Each time you submit your activity you will be entered into the prize drawings.
1. Take a picture of you before, during or after your run/walk and post the picture to Instagram*. Make sure to tag @cbcrecandwellness and use the hashtag #cbchawktrot2020 in order to qualify.
2. Take a picture showing the distance and time of your run/walk. There are a number of free apps (MapMyRun, Runkeeper, Strava, Nike Run Club) that allow you to track the distance your run/walk. Post the picture on Instagram or email to us.

Submissions must be completed and submitted by 11:59 pm on Sunday, November 29 in order to qualify for the prize drawing (for CBC students and employees only).

*If you do not use Instagram, you have the option to email your pictures to recandwellness@columbiabasin.edu and still be entered into the prize drawing.

As a part of this event, food and clothing donations will be accepted during business hours at the CBC Pasco campus in the H building, right inside the entrance. Can't participate? You can also donate money online through the Foundation to support the Food Pantry at https://columbiabasin.networkforgood.com/.../105127-cbc...

Prizes
Current CBC students who complete the requirements below will be entered to win a $500 or $250 tuition waiver, or one of ten $25 gift cards to a variety of places. CBC staff will be entered to win CBC drink container that were donated by the CBC Foundation, along with eight $25 gift cards. NOTE: This event is open to the community, but only current CBC students and employees can earn prizes.
