CELEBRATING OVER 40 YEARS OF ENTERTAINMENT
Columbia Basin College and the Arts and Humanities Division is proud to present another showcase season filled with theatre, art and music! Showcase is one of the ways we continue the college’s mission of cultural enrichment to the community. Although we offer countless numbers of exhibits, concerts and plays during the year, showcase is unique in that it has added community involvement in the talent on and off the stage.
This year we offer to the Tri-City community for the first time, theatre in repertory, allowing viewers the possibility to see more than one show in a weekend. We will also bring back the season ticket to give a savings to the community on ticket prices.

Art Exhibit
Stephen Chalmers: Dump Sites
June 30 – August 7, 2008
Artist’s Presentation: June 30, 6 p.m., L102
Opening Reception: June 30, 7 p.m., Esvelt Gallery
Stephen Chalmers’ photographs of sites where serial killers dumped their victims on the West Coast of America are haunted with the final experiences of the victims that were brutally disposed of. They also tap into our society’s fascination with what murder looks like. Obscured by the passage of time and often invoking the natural beauty surrounding them—wilderness areas being ideal dumping places— Chalmers’ pictures challenge photography’s ability to expose the spectral history of a location and the knowledge of its viewers.
