Transfer
Degrees
Associate of Arts and Sciences (AA)
The Associate in Arts
and Sciences Degree is a direct transfer degree. This means it satisfies
the lower division general university requirements normally taken
during the freshman and sophomore years. Students who transfer with
the Associate in Arts Degree will normally transfer in junior standing
at all public and most private baccalaureate institutions in Washington
State.
Associate of Science Transfer (AST)
– Computer Science,
Engineering, Physics OR
- Biology, Chemistry,
Environmental Science, Geology
The Associate of Science Transfer Degrees are designed for students
who want an efficient transfer to a four-year college or university
in majors that require extensive lower division math and science
courses.
Professional-Technical
Degrees
Associate
in Applied Science Degree (AAS)
Students can prepare for employment while acquiring the two-year
Associate Degree in Applied Arts and Sciences and/or certification
of skills. Also offered are refresher and improvement courses for
students already trained. Programs are taught by skilled instructors
and include individualized educational methods. They provide practical
preparation for increased employment opportunities in fields such
as accounting, agriculture, computer science, nursing, paralegal,
and dental hygiene.
Certificates
Certificates recognize students’
mastery of information and skills important to employment and career
advancement. Certificates are offered in a variety of areas including
administrative office technology, early childhood education, general
studies, health, and welding.
