CAMP
CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) is designed to help students
from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds succeed in college.
CAMP provides academic, career, financial and support services during
the first year of college.

Choosing a career can be a long and difficult process.
Before you make a realistic job choice, you need to consider your own needs, abilities, interests, and values.
The Career/Transfer Center at CBC offers courses and services to help you get to know yourself better and
to relate what you learn about yourself to current academic and employment information. We can guide you
in the process of selecting a suitable career path that fits your individual needs and interests.

This office serves students
by assisting them in finding employment by conducting workshops
in career exploration, resume writing, interviewing techniques.

GED/ABE
GED/ABE prepares students for the GED test. Adult Basic Education
classes prepare students in math, reading and writing for personal
enrichment, or to go on to more advanced courses.

HEP
(High School Equivalency Program) serves migrant or seasonally employed agricultural workers and/or their children with GED preparation, English as second language classes, tutorial assistance, academic and vocational counseling, career advisement and exploration, and Post-HEP assistance.

HIGH SCHOOL
COMPLETION
For those who desire a
high school diploma, High School completion is offered. It is offered
to people 18 years or older and those whose high school class has
graduated. Special considerations are available for those who are
between 16 and 18 years of age.

RUNNING
START
Running Start offers eligible high school juniors and seniors an
opportunity to attend college courses and earn college credits,
tuition-free, while completing high school graduation requirements.

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Student Support Services
serves first-generation, low-income and disabled college students. Provides academic advising, educational counseling, career planning, transfer counseling, and financial information and monitoring. Support is also provided with tutoring, cultural and leadership activities.

THE RESOURCE CENTER
The Resource Center is open to those who want to begin college but
are not sure how to get started, as well as to currently enrolled
students who need assistance to overcome obstacles that make reaching
their academic goals more difficult. It provides specialized help
for childcare and travel expenses, short-term tuition costs (if
eligibility requirements are met), student networking and counseling,
community referrals and accommodations, equipment and testing for
students with disabilities.

UPWARD BOUND
Upward Bound provides low-income high school students with academic
reparation to become first-generation graduates of post-secondary
programs. Services include tutoring, mentoring, advising, cultural
activities, college visitations, pre-college workshops, community
service.

WORKFIRST
Workfirst provides services and funds to eligible low-income working
parents to support wage and skill progression educational plans.
Services include career and educational planning, customized short-term,
pre-employment training, and financial assistance for tuition, fees
and books.

Worker Retraining assists individuals in obtaining training to become
more employable to return to the workforce. The program may provide
assistance with tuition and fees.
