CBC Theatre launches the 2012-2013 season with a timely piece, “8”. AN ALL-STAR CAST will perform a staged reading of this new script on Oct 19 and 20, 7:30 pm in the CBC Theatre. In November, Washington voters may be voting on Referendum 74 (same-sex marriage). “8” is a new documentary play by Dustin Lance Black about the federal case for marriage equality, taken largely from the court transcripts of that famous trial. CBC students join with community members to present this compelling show.
There will be a panel discussion afterward on each performance night. Directed by Ginny Quinley, the cast includes Korry Watkins, Jim Wutzke, Kevin Nettleton, Katrina Carlson, Bryan Foley, and many others. Admittance is free, with the opportunity to make a donation at the door.
