September 23 – October 24, 2013
Cuban born artist Alejandro Mazon will present his works of art which are a blend of paint, collage, found objects and constructed elements. By using objects discarded by Americans, and evoking imagery from past artists such as Hieronymus Bosch, Velazquez, Francisco Goya, and the Mexican Muralists, Mazon explores his past in Cuba and how he struggles to identify his place in America. His work has an anachronistic feel, distinctly classical but still relevant to today.
