PASCO, Wash. -- The Columbia Basin College Hawks stayed
close with the Warriors in each set, but second-place Walla Walla (22-6,
8-2) earned the NWAACC East road win.
"We competed well," CBC
coach Mike Baker said. "Just a couple bounces here and there. When
they're that close, one or two bounces can make the difference."
Michelle
McCary had 27 digs and four aces for the Hawks (9-12, 4-6), while
Samantha Brewer finished with 10 blocks and eight kills.
Set scores: 25-22, 25-22, 25-23.
