Blue Mountain Community College remained undefeated in NWAACC East Region volleyball play with a 25-20, 25-19, 25-12 win Wednesday over Columbia Basin College in Pasco.
The Timberwolves improved to 9-0 in conference play and 33-0 overall. The Hawks fell to 4-5 and 9-11 overall.
“They are better than anyone in the NWAACC,” CBC coach Mike Baker said of Blue Mountain. “They don’t beat themselves. The first time we played them we took a set off of them. We just didn’t play to our potential today.”
Carolyn Smith led the Hawks with 23 assists, while Kelly Madsen added nine kills.
Meghan McIntyre (Kenne-wick High) led the Timber-wolves with eight kills, while Crystal Schmidt had seven kills and three blocks, and Robin Schirmer 24 assists.
