After winning the first two sets, Columbia Basin College
ended up having to rally from a three-point deficit in the final set to
defeat Wenatchee Valley on the road.
“There were a couple of
defensive plays that kept balls alive and gave us a chance,” CBC coach
Mike Baker said. “We got kills and forced errors.”
With the
victory, CBC moved into the postseason hunt, pulling into a fourth-place
tie with Wenatchee Valley at 4-4 in the NWAACC East.
Michelle McCary had 28 digs and Yessica Diaz 26, and Samantha Brewer finished with 18 kills for CBC.
