Information Sessions
Please take the time to attend one of the Phlebotomy information sessions. Your questions will be answered by a program representative. Anyone interested in a CBC Health Science program should attend one of these sessions. They are free and open to the public. Students' friends and family members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Application Process
Students interested in applying for the Phlebotomy course sequence (2 courses) need to use the application materials link below, important details are included.
There will be a Phlebotomy course application available during late spring or early summer. Continue to monitor this page for updated information and a link to a PDF of the application. Please note the due dates as late applications will not be considered.
Applicants must have on file with the CBC Transcript office either an official transcript or a COMPASS score or placement into Math 83 or higher, English 98 or higher, and Reading 99 or higher. If you need a COMPASS score, go to the Assessment/Testing web page to make an appointment.
Applicants are required to provide a copy of the following documentation:
- Certificate of Completion for seven hours of HIV/AIDS Bloodborne Pathogens Training available from any vendor or at the CBC Library (at no cost)
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider HCP CPR/AED
- Current First Aid card from any source
After review of the applications, all applicants will be mailed a letter notifying you of your status into the course.
If you are accepted and before you are allowed to register, you will be required to submit the following documentation:
- Your national background history check to the College-approved vendor
- Current immunization records or vaccination history
Funding Source
Students eligible for the Opportunity Grant may receive funds to cover tuition/mandatory fees and up to $1,000 for books and supplies for 45 college credits.
