Please take the time to attend one of the Nursing Assistant information sessions. Your questions will be answered by a program representative. Anyone interested in a CBC Health Sciences program should attend. These sessions are free and open to the public. Students, friends, and family members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Minimum Admission Requirements
Students must have a college transcript showing Math and English at the 100 level or higher with a passing grade or have a current placement test score that places them into:
*You may be eligible for financial assistance through the Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (I-BEST) program. The Casas exam is used to determine student eligibility for I-BEST. Students must have a placement test score or a Casas score that places them into Math 50 or higher, Reading 99 or higher, and English 98 or higher. Eligible students enrolled in I-BEST benefit from attending a Special Studies class where they will receive additional educational support to review classroom instruction, prepare for the exams, and strengthen basic skills while taking the Nursing Assistant training. This course is offered each fall, winter, and spring quarter. The application process for 2019-20 is now open. Click on this link Nursing Assistant application to print out the application, fill it out, attach the requested documentation and hand in the application to Hawk Central in the H-Building on the CBC Pasco campus by the due date noted for the appropriate quarter. .

Accepted Applicant Requirements
After the applications are reviewed by the program director, accepted students are expected to request their national background search to the College-approved vendor before the start of the quarter. These details will be listed in your acceptance letter. The cost to the student for the background search is $89.75.
Proof of valid and current immunization records will be submitted to the Health Science Center office before clinical hours are scheduled.
Students eligible for the Opportunity Grant may receive funds to cover tuition/mandatory fees and up to $1,000 for books and supplies for 45 college credits.
Wages of graduates that have completed the Nursing Assistant Certification training and pass the Washington state license requirements with Department of Health available at CBC Career Coach.
