The CBC baseball team enters the 2013 season with the same goal in mind as every year, bringing home the NWAACC baseball championship. First-year Head Coach Chris Staton will look to bring home his first title as the Hawks' skipper, and the school's first since winning it all in 2006.
CBC is coming off another successful season, in which the Hawks won the East Region regular season crown with a 19-9 record and finished with an overall record of 25-23. Despite winning the regular season division title, the Hawks entered the 2012 NWAACC tournament as the East’s No. 2 seed.
Returning 10 players from the 2012 squad, Coach Staton hit the recruiting trail hard, bringing 25 freshmen to CBC who will be counted on to contribute this season. This year’s squad has all of the pieces it needs to continue the winning tradition that is associated with Hawk baseball, and contend for CBC’s third NWAACC title in the last decade.
