- What are course reserves? Course reserves are materials that your instructors put on reserve for a specific class. They might be books, videos, CDs, lecture notes, or a webpage.
- To search, click on Course Reserves in the Library Catalog, then:
- Select the Course Name
- You can sort the list by Instructor, Department, or Course Number
- Locations of items:
- Reserve, Circulation: Most of the books on reserve behind the Circulation desk are provided by the instructor and are "Library Use Only". Examples are textbooks and solution manuals.
- Reserve, Reference: Reserve books on the shelves behind the Reference Desk are arranged by class name/instructor name. Most are supplemental readings that the library has purchased. These reserves may be "Library Use Only" but are many that can be checked out for "1 day", "3 days", or "1 week". This will be noted on the spine of the book.
- Copies of articles and class notes on reserve are not listed in the Catalog. Ask at the Circulation/CheckOut counter.
