This page contains information and links to help you transfer to CBC. For transfer students, follow the steps below:

CBC Transfer Student Checklist:

1. Complete an Application for Admission online or at Hawk Central, download [PDF].
   • Please refer to the quarter processing timelines listed below and allow one week processing time from date of submission.
   • Applications received prior to the processing timelines below will be held and processed per quarter indicated on the application. Acceptance emails/letters will be issued as applications are processed.

   • Upon completion of processing, students will receive an acceptance email. Please review email for further instructions on completing the admissions process.
2. Submit or send your paper application to Records

3. Financial Aid
   If applying for financial aid, fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Meet all deadlines of the Financial Aid office at CBC.
4. Transfer of Credit Process
   Students pursuing a degree or certificate or taking a course for which there is a prerequisite must submit official academic transcripts from previously attended accredited colleges or universities for evaluation.
5. Complete Getting Started Steps Online
   • Pay $28.30 Admissions Application Fee
   • Change student PIN
   • Create CBC student email account
   • Schedule Assessment Test (if applicable)
     CBC requires a COMPASS test of all students pursuing a degree or certificate. The COMPASS is given by the college Assessment/Testing Center.
   • Complete SOAR - Student Orientation to Advising and Registration
     Students learn about CBC resources, receive general advising information, and learn how to register for classes during SOAR.
6. Determine Advising/Registration requirements
   • 0 college level credits
     • Complete Getting Started steps
     • Register for and attend First Year Introduction (FYI)
       All degree and certificate seeking students are required to attend a First Year Introduction course. You sign up for a session when you register for your first quarter classes
   • MORE than 1 college level credits
     • Complete Getting Started steps
     • Visit Academic Deadlines under "New/Transfer Registration Begins" for your registration date.
