TECHnical Transition
Tech Prep is a regional partnership between CBC and seven local school districts. Collaboratively, the consortium works closely to facilitate the Tech Prep program in a concentrated effort to provide a student a seamless transition from secondary to postsecondary education in professional technical programs that leads to a future career.
Smart Career PREParation
Advances in technology and the growing need for a skilled workforce has changed the work environment in a dramatic way. Students graduating from high school need critical thinking and highly technical skills to be competitive in the job market. With almost all of today's jobs requiring at least two years of education beyond high school, the Tech Program at CBC can help.
As a teacher, you can help too. Begin by encouraging your students to enroll in the Tech Prep program and start planning for their future now. By working closely with CBC faculty and aligning curriculum, teachers can have their career and technical education course(s) articulated for college credit. The time and savings of meeting high school graduation requirements and earning college credits is a chance for students to advance down their academic pathway. By taking advantage of this opportunity, students can move further, faster, in attempts of reaching their career goals and increase their chance at employability in a high demand career.
