We are excited you are considering attending Columbia Basin College! Depending on where you’re at in your education journey, we have an option for you!
Students are considered new if they have never attended CBC or another college, or have been away from CBC for more than four-consecutive quarters.
Students who have attended CBC before, but have taken a one- to four-consecutive quarter break, are considered returning students.
High school students can earn both high school and college credits at the same time through dual-credit programs at CBC. We also offer continuation and/or completion of high school requirements through several options, plus college preparation programs.
Students who have attended college elsewhere but are now applying to CBC, are considered transfer students.
We support veterans in their transition to CBC through academic advising, education benefits certification, and mental health counseling, as well as offer a variety of services including tutoring and access to computers
Prior Learning is the knowledge and skill gained though work and life experience; military training and experience; and formal and informal education and training at in- and out-of-state institutions through which students may earn credit and/or advanced placement.
International students who have an F-1 visa should consider attending CBC not only for our academic superiority but also for the cost savings you’ll incur the first two years of a four-year college career.
Eligible adults can take classes on an "audit" basis for $1.00 per class plus $4.00 per credit and applicable fees. Other benefits include free attendance to concerts, plays, and athletic events.
