Bob and his wife Crista are owners of Claar Cellars. Crista's parents developed
the first area farm in 1950 and planted the area's first grapes in 1980. Bob and
Crista were both Active Duty Naval Officers and when Bob retired they took over
running the family farm. Since then, they have developed more than 300 acres
into premium wine grapes, apples, and asparagus.
In 1997, they became an Estate Winery processing and bottling all of their
grapes. They now produce about 25,000 cases of wine annually.
Bob Whitelatch has been on the Foundation board since 1995. He is currently
on the Finance and Investment Committee. Bob is a past chairman and has remained
very active on the board. He and his wife established the Russell & Audrienne Claar Endowed Scholarship for CBC students.
