Please attend one of the EMT, Paramedic, or Fire Science Information Sessions. Your questions will be answered by a program representative. Everyone interested in a CBC Health Sciences program should attend. These sessions are free and open to the public. Students, friends, and family members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Apply for Admission to Columbia Basin College
Before you can apply to the EMT program, you must be admitted to the college. Please go to the Apply for Admission page on the CBC website to enroll online or request a paper application.
Minimum Admission Requirements
Students must have the following ASSET or COMPASS scores for entry into the EMT program:
Placement into English 099 (Writing Compass score of 45-77)
Placement into Reading 099 (Reading Compass score of 61-81)
The Emergency Medical Technician course is offered every fall and spring quarters. The EMT application process is competitive. Students must submit an application with letters of recommendation, as well as participate in an assessment of applicants; criteria is teamwork, communication skills, reading, and comprehension skills.

The Spring 2016 EMT Application is now available to print, fill out, and turn in to the CBC Hawk Central office on the Pasco campus by noon on February 3, 2016.
Spring quarter deadline to apply for EMT training is February 3 at noon.
Fall quarter deadline to apply for EMT training is July 7 at noon.
