CBC offers four Blueprint reading courses. They are tailored specifically for the following programs:
- Machine Technology
- BPR 104 and 204 - Theses courses are designed to lead Machine Technology students into reading Machine Shop blueprints. Students are also introduced to Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software and create blueprints of machining projects using the software.
- Welding Technology
- BPR 106 and BPR 206 - These courses are designed to teach students to interpret blueprints used on structural projects (BPR 106) along with utility and process piping projects (BPR 206). Students learn to create a materials list from reading blueprints in both BPR 106 and BPR 206.
