- Prepare students for BIOL& 211/BIOL& 211L and/or fulfill graduation requirements for non-science majors to obtain an Associate degree in Arts and Sciences or Certificate of General Study (BIOL& 100/BIOL& 100L, BIOL& 160/BIOL& 160L, BIOL& 175/BIOL& 175L, ENVS& 101/ENVS& 101L, BIOL 140/BIOL 140L, SCI 110/SCI 1101)
- Meet the entrance or support course requirements for Health Sciences programs (Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Paramedic/EMT, etc.) (BIOL& 160/BIOL& 160L, BIOL& 211/BIOL& 211L, BIOL& 241/BIOL& 241L, BIOL& 242 /BIOL& 242L, BIOL& 260/BIOL& 260L)
- Prepare science majors and pre-professional students (pre-med, pre-vet, pre-chiropractic, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, etc.) for upper-level biology courses at a four-year institution (BIOL& 211/BIOL& 211L, BIOL& 212/BIOL& 212L, BIOL& 213/BIOL& 213L)
