The purpose of the CBC Health & Safety Committee is to promote health and safety among all College constituents and to recommend steps to ensure the health and safety of students, employees, or other users of the College. The committee is responsible for assisting the College in maintaining a comprehensive health and safety plan; identifying and making recommendations for health and safety programs and services; as well as recommending, promoting, and reviewing health and safety training opportunities.
The committee members meet the third Friday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to discuss safety concerns. The committee has a chairperson and secretary. The chairperson's responsibility are to develop an agenda for each meeting and ensure that it is followed. It is also the chairperson's obligation to ensure that all safety concerns that are raised are followed through to an end result. The secretary is responsible for recording the minutes for each meeting and distributing copies to all campus staff in a timely manner. All concerns may be directed to the chairperson.
