- Do not attempt to apprehend or interfere with the criminal, except in case of self-protection.
- If safe to do so, take time to get a good description of the perpetrator.
- If the perpetrator is entering a vehicle, note the license number, make, model, color, and any outstanding characteristics.
- Call 911. Give your name, location, and details of the event.
- Notify CBC Security at ext. 2219 or ext. 2333 from campus phones, 542-4819 or 542-5533 from cell phones. On weekend or weekdays after 4 p.m., call 521-4599. At Richland campus, call 531-4034. Advise that 911 has been contacted. Remain where you are until contacted by law enforcement or CBC Security.
- In the event of a civil disturbance or a larger scale emergency, continue (as much as possible) with your normal routine, but be alert. If the disturbance is outside, stay away from the doors and windows. Follow the direction of the CBC Emergency Operations Center as indicated in the CBC Emergency Plan.
