Pacific Rim Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (PRCCDC)
The Pacific Rim Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (PRCCDC) was originally created out of a need for students trained in Information Assurance. Informal games were held at Camp Murray, and the first competition took place on the Microsoft Campus. In 2009, the PRCCDC officially became one of the ten regions of the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC). The competition is open to two-year and four-year colleges and universities. Each team consists of eight students, with a cap of two graduate students per team. Schools may enter teams per the national guidelines.
CBC takes 7th place in Nationals
CBC entered the 2016 competition for its second year in a row and was very successful in winning the Pacific Rim Competition hosted at Highline Community College. This qualified CBC as a National CCDC finalist hosted in San Antonio, TX. CBC again did an exceptional job at nationals by finishing 7th out of the top 10 schools in the nation. This year we are striving for bigger heights. Last year’s team was very instrumental in capturing lessons learned to develop our current curriculum and integrate within our TechClub to learn from our mistakes and continuing to expand our program to improve on this success in the future. Our goal Top 5 in the nation! #Go CyberHawks!!!
