Expand/Contract Questions and Answers
There are several important things you must do prior to becoming a student at Columbia Basin College. The Admissions process is fully outlined on CBC's Getting Started page.
You can also attend a New Student Information Session. Ask any questions you may have about getting started at CBC. These sessions are led by CBC Academic Advisors and Financial Aid Specialists who will walk you through everything you need to know to apply to CBC. The sessions will cover costs related to attending college, degrees and programs CBC offers, the application process, COMPASS Assessment, applying for Financial Aid, and much more! Details for any upcoming Information Sessions can be found on the Counseling/Advising Page under "Events."
If you have any questions, contact Admissions and Records at (509) 547-0511.

First, read all the information presented on the Getting Started page dedicated to Transfer Students. This page will outline many of the steps you will need to complete prior to meeting with a counselor.
One of the most important things you need to do is to request that your official transcript from your previous school be sent directly to CBC for evaluation by the Records department. The mailing address is Columbia Basin College, Attn. Records, 2600 N. 20th Avenue, Pasco, WA 99301.
Schedule an appointment with an advisor once you receive the transcript evaluation in the mail. This entire process can take a few weeks so it is important that you start as soon as possible.
It takes four to six weeks from the date the Records Department receives your official transcript(s) to process your transfer credits. You will receive a copy of the credit evaluation in the mail after this is completed. Please visit CBC's Transfer of Credit Process webpage for additional details.
If you attended more than one school, the Records Department will only evaluate after it has received all of your previous transcripts.
