IDEO, an award winning global design firm, takes a human-centered, designed-based approach, Design Thinking, to help organizations in the public and private sectors. Design Thinking brings together what is desirable from a human point of view with what is technologically feasible and economically viable.
In a time when there is hunger for innovation everywhere, our primary responsibility is to help prepare a generation of students to rise with the challenges of our times. CID’s deliberate mash-up of industry, academia, and the community is a key to sustained growth and prosperity in the Columbia Basin. CID students team with local businesses to improve company images, redesign processes, develop implementation strategies, improve products, and produce prototypes by combining creative design thinking with agile project management tactics.
