Eberlein Family Endowed Scholarship

Susan and Elis Eberlein are strong advocates of education. Their philosophy is, “Never stop learning and never stop giving". Both Susan and Elis earned a Ph.D., but had strikingly different educational ancestry. Susan grew up in the midwest and both her parents were well educated. Elis grew up in a small town in Sweden and most of his father’s families were farmers. He earned his degree in Chemical Engineering and Ph.D. in Microbiology. Education is a large part of the Eberleins’ lives. Despite spending a good portion of their lives in school, these parents of three still take classes in everything from conversational Spanish to dancing. They established their scholarship endowment at Columbia Basin College Foundation because they see CBC as an important cog in the community they call home.
