Alicia Jones caught an inbounds pass, took one dribble and
floated in a 5-foot jumper at the buzzer Wednesday to give the Columbia
Basin College women’s basketball team a 65-64 victroy over Big Bend in
NWAACC East play Wednesday in Moses Lake.
The Hawks (13-11 overall, 9-3 league) remain a game behind Walla Walla in the East standings.
Jones
finished with eight points, 14 rebounds and four assists in the win.
Kelsey Yenney and Hannah Depew each scored 15 points to lead the Hawks,
who committed 24 turnovers.
Alli Winters’ 19 points led the Vikings, who were out-rebounded 55-35.
