Washington River Protection Services (WRPS) has made a donation allowing Columbia Basin college to purchase equipment and provide scholarships for its Nuclear Technology program.
A news conference will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m. in CBC’s Nuclear Technology Lab in the Center for Career and Technology Education (map attached). WRPS’ President Mark Lindholm will address the news conference along with CBC Associate VP for Instruction, Melissa McBurney. Career and Technical Education Dean, Janese Thatcher, will give a tour of the facility and the new equipment.
In the short history of the CBC Nuclear Technology program, WRPS has donated more than half a million dollars to the program. The latest donation of $33,500 goes toward the purchase of the new equipment and $6,000 of that total will go to Nuclear Technology student scholarships.
