The Music department holds three concerts a year; at the end of fall, winter, and spring quarters. Students are encouraged to participate in the college’s numerous performance groups which include:

Come enjoy music outdoors in the beautiful Tri-City weather! The Columbia Basin Concert Band will play a variety of classic and contemporary concert band literature at various locations throughout the Tri-Cities.

The "Sounds of Summer" JAZZ NITE! with the Columbia Basin Concert Band under the direction of Russ Newbury and Dr. Collin Wilson, CBC Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Collin Wilson, and the award-winning CBC "Freeform - Vocal Jazz under the direction of Dave Cazier.

The first annual "Sounds of Summer" concert series is a joint collaboration between the Columbia Basin College Department of Music, the City of Richland, and the Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps.
