The United States is a nation made of people of various racial and ethnic backgrounds and whose ancestors, or themselves, migrated to the nation in order to create a new and better life for themselves and their families. This program provides students an opportunity to examine these aspects of American society through a combination of courses in history, anthropology, political science, and sociology. Students also examine how the U.S. experience in race, ethnicity, and immigration compares to that of other areas of the world.
