The CBC Foundation has awarded more than $1 million to CBC students each year for the past three years. Applications are due February 22 and awarded for the upcoming academic year.
CBC Nuclear Technology Scholarship - funded by Washington River Protection Solutions

Nuclear Technology Scholarship Opportunities
The nuclear industry has established scholarship opportunities to attract and retain top students pursuing degrees within the nuclear field. Below are some of the scholarships available for the 2016-17 academic year.
Columbia Chapter of the Health Physics Society Scholarship
Application Deadline: March 31
The Columbia Chapter of the Health Physics Society is proud to announce a scholarship award of $1,000 to a student in a health physics-related educational path at an accredited institution. Eligible fields of study include, but are not limited to: field radiation protection, nuclear engineering, x-ray/nuclear medicine, or health physics certification.
Kent Hamlin Memorial Scholarships
Application Deadline: Feb 1
Students must directly apply for this scholarship opportunity. This scholarship focuses on two-year associate degree candidates who are participating in the U.S. nuclear power industry's Nuclear Uniform Curriculum Program (NUCP) and who demonstrate interest in and commitment to a career in the industry. NEED Scholarship Awards for Community College and Trade Schools
Application Deadline: April 1
Students must apply directly for this scholarship opportunity. A $2,500 award for students in two-year programs is available for applicants planning a career in nuclear science, nuclear engineering, or a nuclear-related field and enrolled or planning to enroll in a college or university located in the United States, but need not be U.S. citizens. Hans P. Loewen Scholarship
Application Deadline: Feb 1
Students must directly apply for this scholarship opportunity. The award is presented to a graduating high-school senior, a college freshman or sophomore who has enrolled full-time, in college courses and is pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM). U.S. Department of Energy’s Nuclear Energy Scholarships
Application Deadline: TBD in Spring of 2016
Students must apply directly for this scholarship opportunity. The award is presented to U.S. students who will be at least a sophomore in college during the Fall 2016 semester. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy will present dozens of these annual awards of $7,500. Thomas Edison State College Matriculation Scholarships
Application Deadline: No Deadline, but First Come – First Served
Students must directly apply for this scholarship opportunity. Thomas Edison State College is awarding $2,000 to $4,000 scholarships to Nuclear Uniform Curriculum Program (NUCP) graduates interested in completing their bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering technology, nuclear energy engineering technology, electronics systems engineering technology, electronics engineering technology or radiation protection.
